Crash course in airbrushing:

Buy airbrush pistol, color and just start airbrushing. Sometimes the results are way better than you imagine!

I'm pretty happy, that I "risked" to airbrush this wolf head even without having done any airbrushing before. The color just adds to much realism to it!

Well, I just bought the cheapest airbrush pistol with a 0.3 needle from amazon. You can't really draw thin details on fur, so no need to buy one of those expensive pistols.

thanks :) lol sorry i have a couple more questions, where do you get the fur you use, and did you have to paint it a certain way so the fur doesn't stick together?

The fur I'm using is from Mendels in San Francisco, they got a web shop at mendels.com. The fur is called "fox - white".

Once you air brushed the fur you have to brush it thoroughly (I use a dog brush for it). As long as you just brush to top layer of the fur, you are fine. I overdid it on the back fur of my bodysuit and now the fur isen't that soft anymore.

I used thin aluminum expanded metal which is available in every hardware store. I just glued the fur onto it and then bend it to get the nice 3D shape.

To date, the colors are still the same and I got the mask at my window looking out into the street - so its exposed to sun light. Well, most of my neighbors were a little bit upset to see a "big dog" in my window...
